So let’s say you’re new to the gym, and you go to the gym. You go in, you put on some workout clothes, you go to the machine, you take your weight, and you start working out. That’s all great, but it’s also important to know that these things really aren’t just about how you get to the gym on a particular day. Each of these things has a little bit of meaning to it. If you want to be a better runner, you’re going to need to take some time to train for a triathlon or a marathon. You’re going to need to do something that matters to you.
There is a little bit of meaning in each of these things. In what way? I mean, sure, you could say that your workout is as meaningful to you as getting your butt kicked in a dodgeball game. Or maybe you feel like your friends just got you a new car because your team won the national championship, and you feel like youre part of the team. Or maybe youre excited about the new movie, and you feel like youre part of the crowd.
Whatever it is, you need to make this thing count. You need to do something that matters to you. Like, even if it sounds silly, there’s a whole bunch of reasons that you NEED to do it. Like, if youre getting a call from a friend, it means that youve got to go to the gym.
