The Hilton Denver Tech Center, a new hotel built next-door to the Denver Convention Center, is getting a makeover. It will be a five-story, 180,000-square-foot building that will contain a restaurant, conference center, and office space.
The new construction will be the first hotel in Denver that doesn’t have a retail component. The hotel will be a joint venture between Hilton and CU Denver, and the deal is expected to be worth $100 million. I’m not sure how it will all work, but it looks like the Hilton will be using the same technology for the office space and conference center that was used for the new Hilton Garden Inn Denver area.
Even though they’re all different technologies, the Hilton technology is the same. So the difference in the technologies used to build the new tower is a minor detail.
This deal should be good for the Denver area and the tech industry in general. The only question is how quickly it can be done. The Denver area is one of the fastest growing parts of the country, so I think it will be interesting to see how quickly they can make it happen. And I think the tech companies in the area will want to be the ones to build it.

In the meantime, doubletree by hilton will be making plans to grow their own tech park on that corner. This is a new part of the city, so it will be a good place to open up offices.
